At J. Bejin & Associates, we believe in lifting lives—and that includes the lives of animals in need. This month, we’re proud to support Canine Companions Rescue Center, a nonprofit dedicated to preventing dogs from entering Michigan shelters and rescuing those already there.
Since 2004, Canine Companions has partnered with local shelters and communities to save dogs from euthanasia and provide them with loving homes. What began as a small pull-and-adopt rescue has evolved into a community-centered organization with programs like the Paws Project, offering low-cost spay and neuter services to reduce overpopulation and help pet owners keep their dogs.
Their outreach extends beyond rescue. From visiting senior centers with therapy puppies to educating children about responsible pet care, they’re making a positive impact across generations. They also provide free training advice and help families rehome pets without surrendering them to shelters.
In 2016, they purchased a property to care for dogs needing extra medical or behavioral support, with dreams of one day opening a full facility.
